Musix in my Soul-24 viewsKF PP, alpha & stickers, CBX corners, HS alpha(I think) & tab, and MM alpha, assorted cardstock. I cut and made coloured centers for the records to make them my own.
Journaling reads: I simply love music. All types and artists. Disco, R&B, Country, Rock, Funk, Dance, Pop, Soul, Oldies, Rap, Alternative, Showtunes....I guess the only ones I don't listen to are Classical, Gospel, & most Heavy Metal. I love slow songs that make you apprecaite what you have & songs with a beat I can bop to. I wanted as a girl to be both dancer & a singer. Music has always been in my soul.
Artists featured on my records: Nickelback, Billy Ocean, Reba, Black Eyed-Peas, The Cult, and a Oldies Various with artists such as Al Green and Chubby Checker.

Distressed-45 viewsthis is for my BOM. I sanded, crumpled, and inked basically everything. As well as applying a mosaic distortion to my photo. This idea is thanks to Claire, she used distressed one day to describe me and I just had to use it..Thanks a bunch!
Journaling: That's one way to describe me, rough around the edges. I have never been one for the smooth, soft stuff, didn't know what to do with it let alone how to do it. Growing up we never said the words, let alone demonstrated those feelings. As I entered my teenage years I felt aggression if anyone tried to touch me, as a young adult I felt they wanted something. As I got older I realized it was a fear of letting people in where they have a stronger power to hurt or harm you. Have to be strong. I have to be in control. I have to be safe. I have learned from the past and have done my best to be openly affectionate with my children and Husband. And now, in my early thirties, I am ready, one step at a time to be softer, smoother around the edges in other ways. I am always a work in progress, and one day soon I hope to be able to show my softer, smoother side and not be so distressed.

Dream Home-28 viewsMy layout for BOM #8 (About your home).
Journalling reads:
Daryl and I have always dreamed about owning a house on an acreage...it took us 10 years and 4 houses later to reach our dream. We bought our dream home on August 15th, 2005. Daryl was out working and phoned me to tell me about this house...I had to go look at it without him and make the decision on my own, with mom and dad's help. As soon as I saw the house I knew it was what we both have wanted for a long time...so I put in an offer and the next day it was ours.
As soon as we moved in to our house it felt like home immediately, all of our other houses never quite felt like home. It is a beautiful home on 4 acres with an amazing view of the mountains, with 2 vegetable gardens, 3 flower beds and lots of trees. Inside our home we have 7 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, my dream kitchen, breakfast nook, sitting room and a family room.
We have been doing a lot of renovations this year inside our home and it is coming along beautifully. We are hoping to do renovations to the outside of our home next year; new windows, siding, decks, driveway, garage and landscaping.
We absolutely love our new home; it is so warm, peaceful and inviting. It is definitely what we always dreamed of owning.

Book of Me-45 viewsHere is my introduction page for my BOM.
Journalling reads:
I dedicate this "book of me" to my wonderful darling daughter, Tristan. I want to pass on my stories of my life; my imperfections, silliness, treasures, secrets, joys and loves. It is very important for me that Tristan fully knows who her mommy is and was...what makes me - me. Through this book, I hope Tristan will have a better understanding of me and will share and treasure this "book of me" always and forever.

Memories-33 viewsHere is my 'memory triggers' layout for my BOM. It is very simple but the most important part is the journaling hidden in the pocket. The journaling reads:
The smell of fresh buns baking in the oven triggers many great memories of spending time with Nana and Grandpa Archer. Nana baked, and still bakes some of the best buns around. They used to live next door to us on the farm when we were growing up so there were many days spent there enjoying her yummy baking. Now they live in Saskatchewan and I am still trying to make buns like Nana!
